The joys of having a fag hag: • When you tell her she’s wearing a beautiful dress, she knows you mean the DRESS. • She will never do a thing to her hair without consulting with you first. • You can always count on her to adjust your sweater when it’s wrapped around you shoulders. • She knows when you’re flirting when everyone else is totally oblivious to it. • She’ll warn you who NOT to flirt with. • She always tells you how adorable you look in a bow tie. • When she sees you’re depressed, she knows how to cheer you up by saying, “let’s go shopping”. • When she gets emotionally hurt she knows she can count on you. • When you get emotionally hurt you know you can count on her. • You can lend her $100 and know you’ll always get it back. • You can lend her anything in your drag closet and know you’ll get it back. • She appreciates the fact that you know the difference between A-line and pencil skirts. • She will lash out at anyone who calls queer in a mean way. • On a crisp fall afternoon she count on walking with you in the park rather than be caught up in some smoke filled bar watching football. • She goes with you all GLTB equality events. • When you’re in drag she won’t let out on the street until you’re absolutely perfect. • And when you hug and kiss her on the cheek good night, she knows it’s an expression of love she may never get in a straight relationship.

Sweetie, you know who I am! This is the first time I have viewed your words of delight. I can see know what have been missing & my recent move to Birmingham has evidently removed me from the Social Whirl of Humanity. Will you grace us with your honourble presence before Christmas? Your Bombay Saphire is waiting. Your the Happy Camper of Brum (formally Mr. More-mince-than-Sainsbury's of Cambridge)

Thought it about time I left a little something behind. Although I always try to. You certainly always leave something behind with me, if only sweet memories and a guaranteed way of warming myself up. There, too late, I'm dripping. Off to the shower...

Am morphing into Jacquline Susann- after a vist to TKMAXX and bargain basement Dolce and Gabbana top caught my eye. Think "Psychdelic wing ding sixties Apres ski party", with a splash of lime! Sadly when tried on with matching 1970's cargo pants - one became less Jacki"O" and more Yootha Joyce. "Lovely Me" has also lead to constant searches on ebay for out of print editions of "Valley of the Dolls" and "Love machine". Also have desire to perfect tough talking Jewish Bronx(ette)accent and drink bourbon neat. "GNN goddamn!!" P.S Like bloggings- should turn it into a book. Much more amusing than Helen Fieldings diet obsessed diatribes.Re: latest offerings. Particulaly liked hair anecdote, had a "stewed mutton moment" myself at hairdressers last week. After airily breezing through several Spanish editions of Ola, suddendly desired glittering blonde highlights /extensions of the Posh Spice kind. Put it down to momentary loss of oxgen to the brain after death defying backward basin hair wash. SOPH
